Football Club

Balmoral FC is a community-based not-for-profit Football Club, founded on family values and dedication to develop not just quality players but quality community members by engraining fundamental principles of friendship and discipline.

Balmoral FC are committed to providing exceptional service to all our members and players while keeping fees low and club membership inclusive for all members of the community.

Club history

Balmoral FC was established in 1995 and founded by the Bosnian Youth Community Group as West Footscray Derzelez Soccer Club. With one senior team located at Hansen Reserve, West Footscray, the club started in the Amateur Soccer Federation of Victoria.

In 1997, the club relocated to Arthur Beachley Reserve, Sunshine and renamed to Brimbank City Derzelez Soccer Club. The club successfully gained access from the Victorian Soccer Federation to take part and started competing in Provisional 3 North-West League.

Over the next 10 years, we experienced growth amongst the junior age groups which led us to outgrow the single field at Arthur Beachley Reserve.

Thanks to the support of the Brimbank Council, in 2011, we moved into brand new facilities at Balmoral Park, Derrimut. In recognition of our new home we changed our name again to Balmoral Football Club Derzelez.

Since relocating to Balmoral Park, we have grown to 170+ registered players and 10+ registered teams.

Club Biography

In 2021, author Agim Dobruna published a biography covering the entire history of the club (1995-2021).

'Đerzelez to smo mi' book is available to be bought at every training session at the club.
